COURT HEARING MARCH 28TH “DIEPPE’S UNCONSTITUTIONAL SIGN LAW”

Posted on by

A hearing will be conducted at the Moncton City courthouse 145 Assumption Blvd. March 28th starting at 1:30pm

The decision will be made whether or not to proceed with a case pertaining to the validity of Dieppe’s sign law BILL Z-22, which among other things requires outdoor signage to be displayed FRENCH first even though N.B. is 70% English speaking.

Two billboard companies have been fined several times during the last few months for violating this law and are contending that it is unconstitutional.

Signage should be the businesses decision.

We would like as many members and supporters as possible to attend this court session in support of these companies and local businesses.

We must do our part to help curb such laws before they spread throughout the province.
